NSMT Model 10S

NSMT Model 10S
The New NSMT Model 10S
Ultra Definition Minimonitor
Measuring only 10 inches high, by 5.5 inches wide by 6.5 inches deep, the NSMT Model 10S, formerly NSM Audio Model 10S, is a full range loudspeaker that produces smooth, full-bodied, satisfying sound, even at very low volume. It produces solid accurate bass and an accurate three-dimensional, holographic soundstage. The sound is realistic because of the Model 10S’ ability to generate a big soundstage, with instruments and voices produced in faithful proportions.
The Model 10S is a two-way, true minimum phase, point source, loudspeaker system. No phase or impedance correction circuits are used in the loudspeaker in order to provide a clean direct path between the amplifier and the loudspeaker. Voiced to perform like a floor standing loudspeaker, the amazing capabilities of the Model 10S are immediately obvious to the listener.
Considered revolutionary when it was introduced in 1992, the Model 10S has undergone numerous improvements and refinements over the years. Today it is one of the most refined small loudspeakers, and its exceptional performance and its high built quality have been acknowledged by numerous industry observers, in the United States, Western Europe, and Asia.

Excerpts from Reviews

"...crafted with jewel-like precision." (The Absolute Sound)

"Absolutely astonishing!" (Stereo, Germany, review of NSMT10S with Linn Classic)

"...breathtaking..." (Hi-Fi News, Britain)

" is so smooth that I began to refer to it as tubelike." (

"...I judged the NSMs performance to be slightly better than the B&W [801] reference speaker." (Audio)

"...can put to shame a great many larger loudspeakers with its unpretentious musicality." (The Absolute Sound)

"Its strengths include a lush and liquid presentation that does stellar things for vocals." (

"...a small sensation." (Stereo, Germany, review of NSMT10S with Linn Classic)

"How good are these speakers?...Very good indeed....Am I selling my Gallo Ref 3's? No. Did I put these in the bedroom after all? Not yet. They are right next to the Gallo's in the living room and have been for the past two weeks. I'm sure I'll eventually switch back over, but for now I'm in sonic bliss." (Audio Asylum)

"During my audition I actually had no desire for a subwoofer when playing the 10S. And this is with them in a 15' W X 21' L X 10' H open concept living room. Impressive for a speaker that can be held in one hand." (Audio Asylum)

"I have never heard better imaging, and I have carefully listened to many systems over the years, starting in the mid-1950s. I would compare it somewhat to Quad ESLs, but with better bass."
